We’re delighted to be able to congratulate Glenda Lloyd, Master Director of Brindabella Chorus, on being honoured with the 2020 Ann Gooch Award! We’re blessed with a number of barbershop stars in Region 34, but Glenda’s star is one of the brightest shining in the firmament of the Southern Hemisphere!

Established in 2001, the Ann Gooch Award recognises Ann’s lifelong dedication to Sweet Adelines International and the advancement of barbershop music around the world. The award is given annually to non-North American members who have contributed significantly to the furtherance of barbershop in the worldwide arena.

Glenda is an exceptionally talented arranger, director and singer (we love a tripe threat!). She is a founding member of Brindabella Chorus and, in 2019, directed them to win the Harmony Classic Division AA division. Glenda also sings bass with 2018 Region 34 Champion, Debacle Quartet. In 2018, she was a runner-up at the Sweet Adelines “Bursting with Song” songwriting competition for her song “Little Things”.

Glenda is also a member of the Sweet Adelines International Faculty Program and was a webcaster for the 2018 Harmony Classic Competition.
